Illinois Post Offices

ADDRESS: 131 Main St., Ferris, Illinois 62336

Another stop during one of my early 2012 road trips. Neat little agricultural town. When I spotted this one on the map I was thinking to myself, I’d like to see a water tower with the saying from Ferris Bleuler’s Day off movie.  “Save Ferris”.

The term “Save Ferris” may one day refer to the their tiny post office. I hope not but that’s what went through my mind as I was visiting this one.

ADDRESS: 6820 Pleasant St., Garden Prairie, Illinois 61038

This is a post office in Garden Prairie Illinois. My girlfriend spotted this one as I was aimless driving around in Illinois. We were headed somewhere else but now I don’t remember, must have been a family event. I wanted a picture without the truck but was unwilling at the time to wait it out. So here it is truck and all.

ADDRESS: 9979 Fenton Rd., Fenton, Illinois 61252

What a great small town Post Office. The funny thing about this one is that it’s in the back of the building. So yes that’s the story when I envision someone asking where the post office is. Imagine how one must feel when you say, “oh yeah I’ll sell you some stamps”, or “Sure I’ll ship that for ya”, just meet me in the back of the building.  LOL

Yes, its true strange things go through my head, must be all that driving around.
