Welcome to today’s featured post office. Yesterday we featured the original WPA era Hartford post office building.  As you know Hartford Wisconsin has grown tremendously in the past few years and with the grown came a new facility.

Today’s Hartford post office is a far cry from the character of the original building. Although I was happy to find out the Mural has been preserved and taken care of, I would have been much happier if it would have been placed in the post office rather than the local art center. That’s just my opinion, but I’m just saying. The new building even has a dedication plaque inside.

Welcome to the Allenton Wisconsin. I visited Allenton while on a road trip in August. Must have been one of those warm summer days. I’m writing this in December and it just snowed yesterday so I guess I’m already missing summer.

As I go through the hundreds of photographs I’m reminded of the places I’ve visited. Superior Wisconsin is one I thought I posted but apparently had not.

My girlfriend and I stopped at this one during our Isle Royale vacation back in May of this year. Of course we drove so that meant I could stop at post offices along the way. See how I did that? oh honey let’s drive there. hehe
