Post offices with dedication plaques.

Sometimes it only take me  a moment to remember my visit to a post office. Sometimes its only takes one person or event to trigger a memory of my visit.

The Sycamore Ohio post office was one of those times. As I was walking up to the front of the building, camera and tripod in hand, a lady walked out of the building. She took one look at me and said something like, “Oh you’re taking a picture of the post office”. I responded yes, that is what I do, and started to walk across the street for a better place to take my picture.

That was it, that was our conversation, but its something as simple as that which triggers my memory of what it was like visiting or photographing a building.

ADDRESS: 1306 W. Main St., Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio 43440

Right near the shores of Lake Eric sits two towns. I’m guessing there must have been some historic arguments over what the name of the town should be? Or maybe its just know as Lakeside-Marblehead. Anyone else care to shed some light as to the history on the name of this town?

ADDRESS: 606 Washington St., Genoa, Ohio 43430

I was on a roll by the time I drove through Genoa. People staring and watching me. I just waited for them to finish their chores and waited for the cars in front of the building to move.
