STATUS: The Gambier post office is still an active, operating facility and the mural can be viewed by interested members of the public. The mural resides in the lobby on the wall above the postmaster’s door.
YEAR: 1936

Spring break visit in March of 2024 brought us through Gambier, Ohio. It was getting late and we had a long drive, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stop and see this one. We managed to get a few good pictures and video. Special thanks to my son for putting up with the long drive and stopping.

This was a nice little town, and I had no idea it was the home to Kenyon College. There is a nice bookstore across the street. Had I done a little more research prior to visiting, I think it would have been nice to grab a cup of coffee or maybe even a sandwich and sit outside to enjoy the area and the handsome stone post office.
