Another stop during our summer Blueberry festival road trip. To be honest I don’t really remember stopping her or even the area. This happens to be one of those time when I was like OK let’s stop, I hurried to take the picture and was on my way.

ADDRESS: 100 N. Main St., Three Rivers, Michigan 49093
What a great picturesque building. Standing very tall and proud right on the corner of main street in downtown Three Rivers is a beautiful WPA era post office building. Serving the community for generations since 1914 as indicated by the hidden corner-stone. Although there is no mural or other artwork the building itself its very pleasing on the eyes. I’m glad I drove slightly out of my way to visit this one. I just wished it would have been open when I arrived.

One very handsome building is the South Haven Michigan Post Office. As I took a closer look at this one I was immediately drawn to the green stone accents on the exterior. The front entrance has this wonderful green arch around the door. Above the four front windows are also 4 green rectangles that add to the front decor of the building. A tall and proud building from the past and I”m delighted to see it in excellent condition. I’m also glad I was able to visit during normal business hours. I found a classic old post office box tucked away in the corner of the lobby. Now on to the Blue Berry Festival.
We recently visited South Haven for their annual Blueberry Festival. Unfortunately the farmers had a tough year with the drought, so blueberry picking was limited. We did end up finding a local farm to pick our own. We enjoyed everything blueberry, from fresh blueberry turnovers, to a blueberry pancake breakfast, it was wonderful time and if you ever get the chance I highly recommend visiting.
