So Quincy was another post office stop while I was hiking in 2010. This was not an actual town stop. My mom and aunt had come out visit me. Since we had a car we drove around acting like tourist, including taking pictures of the local post offices we came across.

Check out my hiker attire! Beard was coming in nice. Thanks mom for taking my picture and for visiting me on the trial.

My visit was in June of 2010. Onyx was another post office I visited while I was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2010. I had gotten a ride from a trail angel to Onyx. While she was shopping I walked behind the store to get a picture of this one.

Since I was in a hurry I never checked for other features. To this day I’m wondering if there is a dedication plaque or interesting features. Does anyone know if this one has a dedication plaque?

Lots of 2’s in this zip code. My initial visit to the Bard California post office was in 2004. My parents headed south for the winter and I decided to visit. Since I’m from the Chicago Area, it was nice to escape the cold winter.

Thanks dad for stopping and taking my picture of the Bard California post office. If I remember correctly we also visited the Imperial Medjool Date farm. They have everything date related such as: Date Shakes, Dried Dates, Date gift baskets, Date Trail mix. I think I had the shake. Yum!  Just another interesting fact for those of you interested in the local are.
