Wrightwood was a great town stop along the Pacific Crest Trail. I had a really nice local give me a ride into town. The hardware store was awesome, the post office was great! What more could a hiker ask for?

I especially enjoyed seeing the little display on the counter here. It’s little surprises like this that make visiting post office so enjoyable. When the local staff personalize the lobbies and counters its makes for a really nice welcoming atmosphere.

Another one from the archives, I found this one as I was cleaning up some old photos. I originally visited this one in February of 2004. My parents had headed south for the winter and I visited them at some point during the winter. Since this was one of my first photographs I only have the one image.

Sometimes the post office operates in a trailer down by the river. Just kidding about the river part, but here is another example of a trailer post office. Another stop along the Pacific Crest Trail. Hikers stop here to pick up re-supply boxes. I was no exception and stopped here to pickup my provisions.
