Another one of those “no sign” newer buildings. The only reason I stopped was because it was right along the highway. No other signs would indicate what post office or town it belongs to. At least it had a dedication plaque.

Can anyone tell me how the name of the town somehow gets omitted from these newer buildings. Is it too much to buy the letters? Does a sign cost that much? Did someone just overlook adding it to the building? So many questions, Do you have the answers?

Decatur Tennessee Post Office

Check out that rose-bush! I know what you are saying to yourself. How do you know this is the Decatur Tennessee post office? There is no sign, There is nothing on the doors to indicate its the town of Decatur. And then I ask myself, Why did I even bother to take a picture of it?

Well, because that is what I do. Even if there is not sign or anything else to indicate this is a post office let alone the name of the town. Other indicators practically give it away. First their nice blue mailboxes out in front, I’m not sure why I didn’t photograph them. But believe me they are there. How do I know? Because I’ve actually visited this post office in April of this year.

In fact every post office you see on this site has all been visited by me.

Crab Orchard Tennessee Post Office

The story is this, I’m driving along interstate 40 trying headed to some other buildings when all of a sudden I spot this tiny town off to the left. I immediately turned around and headed over to the the post office. From the highway it was easy to spot to new post office signage, which is one good reason for the large red, white and blue signs. If this sign had not been so large and high on the building I may not have even spotted it. The entire shopping center had this sort of “Western Style” facade. It was neat to see, I was in a hurry so I only took  peak inside and was on my way.
