My visit to Montana in 2012, included driving the Going to the Sun Road. However, even in June the road was still closed. They had not finished plowing the because the snow levels were so high. Eventually during the week I was in Montana they eventually opened and I was able to drive to the Login Pass visitors center.

What a great drive and one of the most scenic in our nation. If you ever get the chance to visit I highly recommend it.

Driving along the highways of Montana in June of 2012 I pulled off to take a picture of the Wolf Creek post office. I really enjoyed my time in Montana. I hope to get back there soon. For my regular readers there are several more Montana post offices I have yet to post. I’m in the process of cleaning up my photo albums.

Since we took a break I’m heading back to my Montana collection.

STATUS: The Glen Ellyn post office is still an active, operating facility, and the mural can be viewed by interested members of the public. It resides in the lobby on the wall above the postmasters door.
YEAR: 1937

WOW! Check out the building and mural? See the funny thing is, we visited the newer post office first before heading to the downtown area to visit this one. So as you can imagine the contrast between the two buildings, is really is quit amazing.
