Do you know what it is like to walk up to someones house and it’s a post office? Well, let me tell you how it is.

I was driving around Ohio one day in November of 2012. When I dialed in the Graytown post office address into my GPS it took me here. To the Graytown Post Office. Right smack dab in the middle of town and right smack between two residential homes. It was weird I tell ya! Well not really but it sure did get me thinking that day. What if I lived in a post office?

I was on a roll by the time I drove through Genoa. People staring and watching me. I just waited for them to finish their chores and waited for the cars in front of the building to move.

ADDRESS: 416 W. State St., Fremont, Ohio 43420

So I actually had the address of the newer Fremont post office dialed into my GPS. As I was driving through Fremont, I stumbled across this one. I didn’t even know it existed. I remember getting hungry and looking for a place to eat. So I decided to drive around the downtown area and low and behold this is what I found.

I was sad to see the deterioration of the corner-stone but at least It wasn’t completed covered up or destroyed. I know very little about this one so If anyone else has any stories or additional history on by all means please share.
