Celebrating our Nation's Post Offices

Just another beautiful summer day taking pictures of post offices. I was bored so I put a bicycle in front to add some ambiance to the photograph. Ok, well not really it was just a patron visiting but hey its not just a post office picture now. Is a picture of post office with a bicycle in front.

It was getting late and starting to get dark when I drove right through Sullivan. Of course I drove right past the post office and knew that it was already closed for the day. I stopped anyway so I could get a photo. I was anxious to get home so this was quick visit.
My camera was acting up during this visit. Usually after taking the pictures I check my camera to ensure they are good, in focus, centered, no weird stuff etc. Well, when I was trying to get my self-portrait in front of this one for some reason the camera would not focus and each picture I took was blurry. I took another one, Same thing. I eventually said to my self, Its time to move on. I guessing this was a sign that I had taken enough for today.
I left Sullivan and drove straight home.

As I go through the hundreds of photographs I’m reminded of the places I’ve visited. Superior Wisconsin is one I thought I posted but apparently had not.
My girlfriend and I stopped at this one during our Isle Royale vacation back in May of this year. Of course we drove so that meant I could stop at post offices along the way. See how I did that? oh honey let’s drive there. hehe
