Happy Birthday Dad!!! Yes, Today is my father’s birthday and one of the reasons I choose East Millinocket as the post office of the day. East Millinocket was also one of the post offices from 2007.
My parents drove out to pick me up after my 2007 thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. We spend a few days being tourist, eating crab, stopping by the Maine coast line. When we passed the East Millinocket post office it was getting late, my dad pasted right by the post office and I begged and pleaded to turn around so I could get a picture of the post office. Did I get my way? Well of course I did see I have a picture to prove it. I have so much to be thankful for and my father and mother are the best parents a child could have.
Thanks Mom and Dad for picking me up after my hike and for putting up with the hiker smells and stopping to let me take pictures of post offices. I love you both.

Andover Maine was one of my early photographs, It was also one I took when I was thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. I’ve included one of my self portraits in this to show the growth of the beard during this trip. Had to be about September when I was here.
