A recent road trip took me to Racine, WI. On the way home We drove through Spring Grove and this is today’s featured building. People think taking pictures of post offices is easy. Well I must report this one was a challenge to get. Apparently there was construction on the bridge in town. This caused me to follow all the detours in order to get to the post office. So relax people. NO need to drive out and see it. I’ve got the photos right here.

I initially visited this post office in September of 2003. Since then I returned to get more pictures and to my delight was also able to get photos of the dedication plaque and honor plaque.

Any of my readers know who Robert McClory is? I did a general search but was unsure if I had the correct person so I didn’t post anything else here. If you are familiar or can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Oreana Illinois Post Office

So I’m at a loss as to what I should really say for this one.  My initial visit was back in February of this year. I waited a little while before posting it as I was unsure how to approach it.

When I was out in front taking my normal photographs a lady exited the building to inquire as to what I was doing and who I was. She was also quick to mentioned that it is illegal to take pictures of post offices. It is actually NOT illegal to photograph them but I didn’t want to argue so I just left it at that. I’m not here to get anyone in trouble so I’ll just go about my business.
