Celebrating our Nation's Post Offices

I’m up in Wisconsin this week testing out my new camera and tent. I actually forgot about the Winneconne post office, my father had to remind of this one. I know I took a picture of this one years ago, but for some reason its hidden somewhere in my old albums.
This is my first article and photo with my new Nikon camera.

Just now getting around to this one. After looking at the USPS website it no longer shows up. I’m guessing it may have closed since I visited in 2010. Can anyone else confirm this? I haven’t looked at any closures list for California. Maybe the real estate sign above the window indicates the fate of this one.
Oh well, here is what it looked like in the summer of 2010. I may need to change the category and tag for this one to “Former Post Office” 🙁

Back to more California Post Offices this week. I was in a hurry when I visited this one. I had to get my re-supply shipped up the trail. I didn’t want to miss the bus so I quickly did my chores and got out of there. Besides there were too many “normal” people and I really stood out. Yes, I said that because when you are hiking you really stand out from the crowd. If you’re a hiker then you know what I mean by this.
