Celebrating our Nation's Post Offices
Address: 275 Arbor St., Niota, Illinois 62358
The only indication that this is the Niota, IL post office was by using my GPS and USPS iPhone application. The name of the city is not even displayed on the door of this tiny building. It’s definitely a small post office for a small city.
I did not find a dedicated plaque, artwork or any other interesting artifacts. Must continue on.

While on my road trip I stopped at the Lomax, IL Post Office. While I was taking pictures of the exterior of the building the lady working at the counter stepped outside to ask me what I was doing. The only customer had just left so it was just her and I standing outside looking at the post office. I introduced myself and explained that I take pictures of post offices. She hurried back inside and since I wanted to get to Hamilton I just left the brief and continued on my way.

During the same 2 day trip I also visited the Dallas City, IL post office. I spotted this one near the center of town. Sat around and waited for some cars to move away from the front of the building so I could get an un-obstructed photograph. Must keep going I have miles to go until I reach my destination of Hamilton, IL. “Illinois” Mile after Magnificent Mile. LOL
