Third on my list today was the South Holland post office. It was nice to see a smaller building. The lobby was closed but I could see the dedication plaque through the front window.

Dedicated in 1969 while Richard M Nixon was president. Winton M Blount was postmaster general. I was able to get a decent picture of it even through the window.

Streamwood Illinois Post Office

Streamwood is the third post office I visited today. To be honest this one is just your basic no thrills post office building. It’s just a brick building on the end of a strip mall. I went inside to view the lobby and it’s just as boring as the exterior.

I didn’t spend much time here, took my pictures and left. Out of the 4 post offices I visited today, this was the third one that did not have a dedication plaque.

Deerfield Beach Florida Post Office

Just another one from the archives. This was a very busy shopping center and when I visited it was difficult to get a clean photo of the building. Needless to say I just took one with the cars in front.

I visited this one the same trip in 2003 when I visited my parents. Since they are snowbirds, I usually get to head south for a warm vacation. I’ll be posting several other pictures that I took while visiting them in warmer climates.
